On Jan. 23, a Verizon technician came to my house. I had requested an upgrade to high speed service. The tech, disabled my garage door, which he was not supposed to touch (before he disabled it, it worked beautifully), he loused up my computer so it often does not work, he hammered a large piece of metal onto my siding outside the edge of the garage — for what? And he loused up my phone system, so I cannot retrieve missed calls, all of which I should have gotten because I never left the house and should have heard the phone ring. It didn't ring. I've called, so far, 11 Verizon people. Two have been semi-competent. Of my 11 calls, only 5 have been recorded in my account. I am ill. My phone works sporadically. So far, Varizon has offered one month of free service (worth $80). This is totally inadequate as recompense for the terrible way I have been treated. 8 days have passed. Still no response. Someone was supposed to come today — a foreman. No one has arrived. No one has called.
