I used ECMC to deposit on a poker site. I didn't even know what it was, it just popped up like usual when you use a CC on a poker site.
So I authorized just a $30 charge. Two days later, I check my CC Statement. I had THREE charges for $31 plus THREE cash advance fees for $10 each (apparently they use your CC as a debit card even though it says they will charge as CC). I was also charged THREE times for $29.95.
This was all for one $30 deposit! They have no customer service links or anything on their site, no contact info, nothing. There is an "online chat" link, but I waited TWENTY-SEVEN minutes before anyone came on the chat. And then when I asked why I was charged so many times, the guy said "I don't know that."
I'm happy my CC company has great CS, because I disputed the charges and they're going to take it up with ECMC.
The funny thing is, ECMC is so shady that my CC company actually asked me if I could find a phone number or anything for ECMC because they couldn't.
I know this was long, but point is, don't use ECMC. They want to seem like Paypal, but they are NOT reputable and their customer service SUCKS.
