I bought 2 x accommodation vouchers for $250.00 each for a resort in Thailand, with a number of inclusions. I purchased them a year ago, and used them to book my honeymoon, everything was confirmed, and ready to go with flights and transfers booked and paid for. I then received notice from WPFP's supplier saying that they had over booked and had to change the hotel, and that I had no choice about it. We were then moved to another hotel with none of the features I had specifically bought the voucher for, and I was not able to do anything about this. So we went anyway (as had no choice, being that flights were booked and this was our honeymoon) and arrive at the new hotel in Phuket, which was nothing compared to the one I had booked, only to be told (when presenting my WPFP confirmations etc) by the manager that WPFP's company had broken their contract and we no longer had accommodation! I then had to pay an additional almost $600.00AU to get a room for the time we were there, which was meant to be my spending money! Honeymoon was ruined. I have contacted them again and again with no reply. I am going to consumer affairs. There was also another 4 x couples at the hotel who had the same issue and are starting a legal case against WPFP & their subsidiaries about this. I cant get my honeymoon back (thats a once in a lifetime event ruined) but I am going to fight tooth and nail to get my money back from these scammers.
