Free two-day order missed its Christmas Eve delivery promise

I ordered items through Amazon using Amazon Prime's free two-day shipping. I ordered them to be delivered by Christmas Eve. Three days later (2 days after Christmas now), I still do not have them. Normally all shipments I receive from Amazon ship UPS. Part of my shipment did ship UPS, so that part arrived on Christmas Eve as promised.
I spoke with Amazon and told them that if my items were going to be shipped FedEx at any time in the future, I would not be ordering through Amazon anymore.
