Wolfgang Puck 8 Pc Glass Bakeware Set Explodes

We had a near tragedy Christmas eve when the large glass baker from this set exploded. It was a violent explosion and I had just had my face over it about 30 seconds before it exploded.

And, understand... This piece had NOT even been heated! It was put on the counter, out of the cupboard, and the turkey was placed in it as we sliced it. NO water or heat or cold was applied to it. I had just removed the turkey from it into a smaller container, or I would have been injured badly. People were milling around in the kitchen, including a 5 year old who had been sitting right in front of it just a few minutes before.

Suddenly it exploded, like the sound of a very loud gunshot and glass flew violently everywhere. The glass was sharp, not like tempered glass. It would have blinded anyone who had been near. All of the other food on the counter had to be thrown out because glass flew into everything. The whole Christmas dinner! We threw out the rest of this set, and I recommend that you do not take a chance with this set. It is very dangerous. We found glass everywhere for hours afterward. Wolfgang is still selling these and I have found other reviews where they have blown up. Take heed Wolfgang... Before someone is seriously hurt. Get these off the market.
