The Marketing Firm, Edgewood
Ripoff, actually a door-to-door sales jo

Miscellaneous

I was excited, like all the rest, to get a second "interview." I thought the idea of "job shadowing" was an awesome way to get to know a prospective employer and to be able to show my talents without the formality of an interview getting in the way.

The company advertisement said they were looking for leaders, and during the initial interview I was told I would recieve six months training and be responsible for an "office" with 25 people. NOT ONCE were the word sales or commission mentioned. It was slow, but I realized this was just a door-to-door sales position. It was awful.

I was truly embarrassed when the trainer I was with went to a Marine Corps building which had a big sign that said, "No soliciting on Government Property." I said, "So you just ignore the no soliciting sign?" and this guy actually said, "Oh, Im not soliciting. Im a representative of Quill Office Supplies." It was shortly after this I found out that the 35,000 salary was not true. Employees are paid based on commission. I felt very betrayed and hurt. This company completely misrepresented itself.
