Was contacted by Olivia at Ashbrook Management by phone to sell my timeshare and then they sent me a contract to sell with a closing fee of 5% when the sale occurs. They contacted me shortly thereafter to say that they had a corporate buyer willing to pay $ 32,550.00 for my Mayan timsehare located in Acapulco. I signed a transfer of ownership form with them and sent it back. The next contact I had was with Gulf Group Capital who were the assigned escrow company for the sale. They asked me to send 1% of the contract price, $ 3,225.00 to hold in escrow. They assured me that if the contract failed, I would be entitled to a full refund of the escrow. When the contract failed, I filled out the required form to obtain the refund and attempted to reach out to the company and they said it was being processed and that I would receive a check on September 7. Needless to say that I have not received the check and subsequent calls to Gulf showed that the phone number was not owned by Gulf as it had been sold. Ashbrook did not even answer the phone. I wish we could get a class action suit started.
