Claim to want to purchase used equipment, they are looking to steal your scrap metal

These individuals claim to be from a company called Liberty Surplus. They say they want to buy used equipment and/or scrap metal. They will begin by throwing big numbers at large items and run up a fairly large potential payout. Once they have this established, they will start to go after your scrap metal and smaller items. They will tell you they are spending a lot of money with you and they want a deal on the smaller items. They are extremely pushy and say they need to organize a large truck to come in and pickup the items. They will pull out wads of cash and pay pennies on the smaller items and say they are going to take those with them that day. When it comes time for the truck to arrive, they will tell you there is a problem of some kind and can't make it there that day. You will never see them again and they will have made off with items you would normally not have sold for such a small price. The address on their card is for an empty parking lot in Detroit and the phone number is for some girls cell phone. One guy goes by the name Gary and it known in the criminal world as "Kung-Fu." Another guy Sonny may be with him as well as an older man with a huge mass on his face. Upon further searching, they have been known to check out your security and break in after hours to steal other items. They are part of a family criminal organization and have had many run-ins with the law. Do not do business with these individuals, you will be sorry.
