Miscellaneous

My husband and I also were invited to a presentation for World Luxury Destinations. We bought an 8 wk contract that was written to be contingent upon them selling our timeshares. They said there were companies in Mexico and Latin America who bought timeshares to help get visas to the U.S. (or some such thing). We then spent 3 months working with 'Continental Resources' and 'All Star Equity' readying for the sale only to be told they wanted thousands more to pay some kind on Mexican tax b-4 the sale could go through. We also had pd. $850.00 for a month at Peninsula P.V. And of course can't find a way to verify any reservations at the Peninsula and at Bay View Grand (another of their resorts). We have written confirmation from WLD but assume it's not good. A very expensive lesson! We used to promote P.V. And Mexico to our friends. I can't believe the city officials allow this to go on for so long right down the street from them. I know how foolish we were and am embarrassed to be writing this. Will try to contact 'Profeco' - some kind of agency in Mexico I read about. Thx.
