Our Village contracted with FES, the letter from Gurnee claimed we would save a lot of money on electric bills. My first bill was TRIPLE the usual amount for this time of year, I have lived in my home for 15 yrs! I had to pay $25 to cancel and now I have to wait 1 to 2 billing cycles before I become a ComEd customer again. The CSR could not tell me when my billing cycle ended, could not tell me the number to call to cancel, did not want to give website information and was rude! Supervisor was unavailable and I have to wait 24 to 48 hrs for a return call from one. The Customer Care Specialist that took my cancellation payment provided information I did not ask for and was unaware of $60 plus dollars ComEd charged me for 33 days of service that was in addition to FES $75 dollars. I just want out and to be a ComEd customer again. This supposed savings does NOT EXIST! Their employees require training starting with basic poised behavior when speaking to a customer, especially an unhappy one! Thank goodness for forums like this one, maybe I can stop one person on the fence, DON'T DO IT!!! You'll pay out the nose!!!
