Overcharged for Description of Surgery that was premature - Invasive Spinal Fusion Surgery

I'm outraged at the service received from Matthew Nalbandian. I went to see a medical associate of Dr. Nalbandian in New York City for issues with my lower back. After one visit, they pushed to "fast-track" me into a major medical procedure called Spinal Fusion. I was told to see Dr. Nalbandian so her could describe the invasive procedure. The major issue here was that I was NOT told of any alternatives, I never received any Physical Therapy or Pain management for my condition, yet they want to move me immediately to an extremely costly procedure. After spending 15 minutes with the Doctor explaining the procedure, I did not to move forward. I received a bill for $500 just for speaking to the doctor about the procedure and was never even told what this cost would be. I feel that this is outrageous and completely moving toward the bounds of unscrupulous. I've files a complaint against Dr. Nalbandian with Blue Cross Blue Shield and will continue to let others know about this dangerous movement to operate and perform surgery rather than other prudent measures.
