Billing discrepancies for cancelled service

Cancelled service Jul 29 effective Aug 1. Continue to receive bills and collection notices. Spoke to someone in customer service at least monthly to find status of credit. Customer service cannot transfer me to anyone higher in authority, to speak to. Still not resolved after spending 15 more minutes on the phone today. 7 months later and still no finalization of account.
