Refused To Pay Out Winnings

Lucky Spot in Deland, Florida is an internet cafe with internet slot machines. Most players lose. Rarely cash prizes are paid to winners.

The injustice here is that the owner of the Lucky Spot, Luigi Sensoplano, refuses to pay me $450 winnings owed me. He believes that I “hacked the system, thru the main console, changing the games to pay only when I playedâ€.

I attempted to explain to Sensoplano what actually had occurred, but was told to "get the fuck out."

This is what actually happened:

I am not a hacker and never went near his main console. When you swipe your prepaid access card at any machine, a screen appears with buttons you can click. One of the buttons is used to access the internet. Another button says "Request Free Entry" When "Request Free Entry" is clicked a message says "1 unit has been credited to your account" 1 unit is equal to one cent. Each time you click the "Request Free Entry" button, another unit is added to your account.

I was never told not to click "Request Free Entry" nor that there was a limit on how many times you are allowed to click it. Since it stated that it was FREE, I clicked the button multiple times.

Sensoplano feels that clicking the "Request Free Entry" button is grand theft and any money I won betting with Free Entry money was stolen.

Is taking something that is free grand theft? And how do you determine what winnings resulted from betting the Free Entry units vs. Winnings resulting from betting with units paid for with cash.

Sensoplano is demanding that I pay him all money I ever won or he threatened that my only other option is going to jail for grand theft, per his lawyer.
