Like so many others I had seen the advertisment for PCMatic the cure all for everything wrong with your computer. The whole program is a joke. I never thought it did much in speeding up my computer or protecting against virus and malware. But I how know the whole program is a ripoff. PCMatic can be set for everyday auto scanning and clean-up. Once complete you are sent an email letting you know the status and action taken. I have PCMatic on two computers one set for auto & one set for manual scanning.

The computer with auto scanning crashed because PCMatic failed to stop a virus. This computer has been in the repair shop for 3 days. BUT PCMatic keeps senting me a daily report saying the computer was "scanned & cleaned" along with a wonderful looking report of action taken. It must be MAGIC the way this progarm can run a report on a computer that isn't plugged into the wall, on the internet or capable of operating. I have written the company and asked for a refund. I would suggest you NOT buy PCMatic. You are wasting your money.
