I replied to an ad on craigslist advertising a door to door flyer hanging position in the portland area. I had done this before and thought it would be a quick way to make some money. I called them and it sounded like a legitamite company, everyone sounded professional. The "recruiter, " a snake named Frank Gosse, whom I later found out had an arrest record in FL where this scam is run from, asked me some questions and after he was done, said they would like to hire me. Lucky me! He said that I have to download a tracking device on my phone so they could verify my work after I was done. Seemed like a legit thing, I thought, there are a lot of people that would just dump the fliers. So I downloaded it, and they verified it over the phone was working. After this he said he sent me an email and I need to fill out the application. Standard I thought. So I did it, put in my personal info, social, bank account number because I wanted direct deposit.
I go to show up for work the next day. Not a soul showed up. I called the guy back up and asked him, said they were running behind. I told him I was going home since it was already almost dark but said Id be willing to work the next day. I go to show up the next day, still not a soul showed up. I called him up, no answer. Called him several times, no answer. Called him from my girls phone, no answer. After a bit he called my girls phone back and asked who this was. I told him it was me talked to him the day before about working. He said I was breaking up and then mumbled something I didnt understand and said hed call me back. Never heard back from him. I called him back a few times and left him a voicemail saying if anything happens to my financial shit there'd be problems for him. He called my back after a bit and said he didnt appreciate the voicemails and said he was reporting me for harassment. I told him to not forget to tell the cops about the scam he has going on online.
Stay away from these a*holes, now I a have to spend money for identity guard and had to open a different a new bank account.
