Dell Sold faulty laptop, I googled to find that ALOT of other ppl had the same problem a month after warranty expired

I purchased a brand new Dell laptop from Best Buy in June that costed me around $600. Everything was fine with it until a month after my warranty expired. The laptop was very well taken care of, was never dropped or damaged.
Exactly a month after my warranty expired, I turned on my laptop to use and it gave me a 7 beep code. I googled my model # to see what could possibly be done to fix the problem.
Upon researching, I found that a lot of people were complaining about the same problem with the same model of laptop that I had.
Also, I found that the majority of them were complaining about them going out not long after their warranty expired.
I contacted Dell, and they said that it was just a coincidence that my laptop went out a month after warranty expired. I explained to them about googling and finding that a lot of other people were complaining about the same model that I had and found it ironic that their complaint was the same as mine. I was assured that Dell was incapable of programming their computers to shut down at a specific time and that it was just a faulty computer.
How can they not know that a majority of that particular model wasn't faulty and why did they not do a recall? I'm sure that I am not the only complaint they received about that model!
I told them that I was considering a lawyer and was told to feel free to do so, but lawyers cost money, which I do not have!
I'm not falling for that bull. I took the laptop to a computer repair, and they told me and my husband that it was fried. They said the mother board could be replaced, but there was no guarantee it would last a year because that particular model laptop was known to over heat, which I know for a fact because I have the scars on my knee to prove it!
