Makes it impossible to get Gift Card, sells your name

They claim to send you a $50 Gift Card for a restaurant of your choice, all you have to do is "fill out a survey" — of course you have to enter your name and address, e-mail etc. Turns out you get sent to all sorts of promo offers, and if (like me) you attempt to turn them all down, you get new browser windows spawned off with other offers that lead to other offers; in the end, you can't tell what you've done. Finally I quit in confusion. Then I started getting the spam.

From the very day I filled in my personal information, I went from no spam to about 20 per day. They knew my name, so I was convinced it was from DineOut clients. So I e-mailed them (of course there is no phone) and asked them to send me the Gift Card. The reply was that I hadn't earned it; I had to accept at least one offer from their (more than 20) clients. Then I asked to be taken off the spam list and got no reply. My take is, if I didn't earn the Gift Card, then they didn't earn the spamming rights.
