I was also scammed by David Martins, but in a domain sale. Though the domain was listed on Flippa.com, the auction ended without a bid selection, so I contacted him via Skype (my first mistake). I gathered plenty of information before the sale on him, signed an agreement, and the domain was transferred into my name as an effort of good faith. I initially sent money through Paypal, but he said that Paypal was making him jump through too many hoops since he hadnt used Paypal in a long time. I agreed to use a different method, he suggested Western Union, and I figured I could choose one with just as much security as Paypal, so I chose Xoom.com (my second mistake). Ive never had a problem with Xoom before and the website clearly states on the homepage that, Xoom offers a money-back guarantee for your peace of mind. I should have read through the User Agreement with more precision; it clearly states that the service is not for commercial use and should only be better those you know personally.

Also, when he switched from using martins75@hotmail.co.uk over to davemartins7@gmail.com, I noticed the switch and found this report. I asked him about the report and proceeded to tell me that his name was very common, that his email had been mixed up with a different Dave Martins, and that he would provide me with any information that I needed. Since my name is quite common, it seemed like a probable scenario. I also check Nercs.com and he is no longer the registrant. I should have conducted further research, but I was too anxious to close the deal.By this time our email and Skype conversations had gone on for two weeks. He provided me with a different address, which he said was his home address:

Since he provided me his bank name, account number, sort code, home address, and phone number to complete the transaction via Xoom.com, I figured that I had all the information that I needed (another mistake).in addition, we have a signed agreement to go along with dozens of emails and lengthy Skype conversations.

I havent heard from him since the payment was sent.

I probably wont get my money back, so my only hope is that no one else falls for his scams. Through my research I was able to find plenty of scams using the name David Martins, but the information that I have posted below are all belongs to the same David Martins.
