The Price Is Higher Than You Think

I have been selling on Ebay for three months. I believe that they overcharge for their fees. How can anybody make any money with all of the fees: insertion, gallery, paypal, and final. This causes Ebay to cut more of a profit than I do for my own items.

For the past two months, they have taken thier sellers fees out early. This has caused $300 in overdraft fees because they broke the agreement and froze the money a week in advance and then take it out early! This freezing of the money is the same as taking it out a week early, because the money can only be used for Ebay!

I have tried the live chat, and that was a real help! They avoided answering my questions, and refused to give me a phone number. They tried to blame the early withdrawl on computer glithces, internal errors, and a new billing system. They started out very friendly but quickly went sour when pressing them for answers.

I finally got the number through the Internet, and when I called them they were very rude. They demanded to know how I got the phone number, and stated that there was no phone number for a billing department.

I am a stay at home mother trying to use Ebay to make a little bit of extra money so I can be with my children. Ebay seemed too good to be true, and it was. I did not believe all of the rumors about Ebay being bad, but now I know for a fact. They have cost me almost as much as I have made simply in overdraft fees, and the bad part is: it could have been avoided!
