Emailfinder.com
Ripoff, Fake "Background Report", Fake "7-day Free Trial"

Internet & Web

This web site reels you in with an offer to find the email address you are looking for. There's a "7-day Free Trial" that persuades you to provide your credit card number that will fund the $29.95 fee if you decide to continue past the 7 days. Apparently I clicked on a box that bought a "Backgound Report". Most people just want to get the information they want and go about their day. But if you go through this "emailfinding" process too quickly, you'll skip over some fine print and discover that you've bought something you didn't want.

The "Background Report" is a useless page that provides "UNKNOWN" to almost every field in the report. And the email you were looking for is UNKNOWN as well. So the 7-day trial is worthless, as well as the factless background report. The person whose email I was trying to find in the first place DOES HAVE an email address, but this web site couldn't get it for me.

I made a cancellation request, and they obliged me by cancelling my "membership". But a representative was "deeply sorry" that he couldn't provide a refund because, to make a long story short, I didn't read the fine print. All I got for the $30 they stole was that apology. The customer, to this company, is not only not always right, his satisfaction is unimportant.
