Internet & Web

I purchased a software product titled office 2010&windows 7 for dummies at a local computer store. When I attempted to download the disk, it was problematic from the beginning. A friend I was with bought the same program and was experiencing the same problems as I, we both tried to contact the tech service number provided and it took about a week for 1 of us to get a response, we were advised to not use the disk at all just the code on the package (1st why include the disk) by this time we were in possession of the product for a couple of weeks. After getting the program from there online site. There was an expiration date. No where on the package or enclosed literature did it mention that you have to basically repurchase the product in 6-8 months. I was under the impression that once I purchased this disk it belonged to me, I sent several emails to the company complaining and the best they offered was a 30 day extinction. The package should state this information so as a consumer i at least have the option of whether or not i wish to make the purchase. The cost was 39.99 not cheap by any means. Also the store where it was brought could not assist Micro Center @750 central park ave yonkers NY.
