Skybeam has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE and charges a $3.00 service fee if you do not want to pay your bill electronically and they are "forced" to provide you with the standard hard copy.
I signed up for a "special promo" which included internet service AND the internet telephone service. The result was that I ended up with 2 weeks of NO TELEPHONE! I called the "customer service" line NUMEROUS times. All I ever got was their recording. They gave me the option of staying online and waiting (which generally was 45-60 minutes before I gave up) or leaving a call-back number, which I also did. I also emailed them multiple times and only received "automatic responses".
I was able to get my telephone back with the original telephone company. I never heard from Skybeam. Until they realized I was only paying for the internet service. That was when I actually received an email from a person... Not an automatic one. I wrote back and explained the situation. It's pretty OBVIOUS I have never used the non-existent internet phone "service".
NOW I am told if I want to quit the internet phone "service", I need to specifically CALL and cancel it. I refuse to waste any more time. WHY do I need to CALL to cancel it when I have never had it nor have I ever used it?
Skybeam cut off my internet service the end of November. They have turned me into the usual multiple credit reporting agencies. I OWE THEM NOTHING! They should REIMBURSE ME for my wasted time and efforts to do business with them!
Skybeam is more nation-wide than state-wide. They are in Texas and I see MANY reports of how they treat customers there. Beware!!
