Match.com
"Dating" Service Unethically Co-Opts Members Credit Card Information as its own private property!

Internet & Web

Here's one ripe for the plucking for those ambulance-chasing law firms searching for a nice plum of a class-action lawsuit to pursue on behalf of countless subscribers similarly violated: it's come to our attention that Match.com most mistakenly thinks it's entitled to automatic ownership of all credit card details/information—and the full disposition thereof—rightfully belonging, not to them, but rather to any and all members subscribing to their service, simply by virtue of their subscription status—outright refusing to relinquish such information with subscription cancellation.

Despite numerous and repeated requests sent to Match.com via email, this company outright refuses to completely and permanently purge such information from its archives and records, including its internal database, citing dubious "audit and legal purposes."

No private company can legally claim ANY automatic rights of possession of ANY consumer's private banking check/credit card information without said consumer's explicit and express CONSENT (even if temporarily granted), which in this case is irrevocably DENIED and WITHDRAWN.

Multiple official complaints concerning this unethical practice on the part of Match.com shall be continuously filed with all relevant consumer protection and regulatory authorities until the cited company duly complies with the consumer's rightful and just demand.

Prompt, complete and permanent removal of ALL the consumer's credit union check/credit card information from ALL of Match.com's archives and records, including but not limited to their internal database is hereby demanded. No other settlement is acceptable.
