Rip-off! Who do we report them to in the government?

Okay, first we ordered aol service by choice. But, we got weird charges on our credit card bill, and calls from bazarre pornographic places. (we have a 900 block on our phone) then they charged our credit card over 500.00 for one month. We tried to call but you cant find these people anywhere!!! So we wrote and we wrote and then, we canceled the card. No problem for AOL they somehow got a hold of our checking account number, and began billing that. So we closed the checking account.

I had over 150 viruses on my hard drive which i had to pay 65.00 to remove, i had the guy remove all the aol software, and we switched to verizon (normal billing but service sucks) then the harrassing letters of continued billing, the harrassing phone calls by rude threatening people yelling at our kids. Right now the balance is at 182.00 they claim they never received letters from me (i sent them certified) they claim if they had they would have sent a "confirmation of cancelation letter) i asked how about you send one right now.

We've got their calls and abuse on tape, they are not scared, we have certified letter receipts they dont care, we have a receipt from the computer fixer guy for the removal of the software, they dont care. They tape our conversations they know we don't want the service, they continue billing, they refuse to stop billing us, they refuse to stop harassing us, who the hell regulates these jerks? Do i have to get a lawyer? Somebody tell me what to do?

My wife even wrote a letter in like size 38 letters and sent it certified they don't care. We're going to be selling our home and buying a new one we're afraid they will report this to a credit agency. So what do we do?
