ShopNBC Knowingly sold faulty material warranty company did not come through Total Ripoff St. Paul Minnesota

I am disabled and do not travel, therefore I bought my computer with a year warranty included in was an on sight repair guarantee. So if anything were to happen they assured me someone would come to my home to repair it. I gave them my zip code and made them double check to see that I was included in the on sight plan, they assured me I was.

The computer immediatly broke down and I was told it was a faulty CPU unit. I was told to wait for a tech repair man to call. It never happened. Months passed with me calling and calling in an attempt to schedule a repairman. Still nothing.

Finally they informed me there were no technicians willing to come to my home. They agreed to pay a private computer repair company so I took my computer to town to have it fixed. I paid out of pocket to get it repaired and sent the repair invoice to the warranty company as advised by them. I received no compensation whatsoever.

After the CPU unit was installed and the computer brought home it continued to have the same problem. It shut off after about 5 minutes use. I again called the company. This time they assured me it was a virus. They sent a floppy disc to do a system recovery.

Time drug on and on. The level of rudeness we received on the phone and the amount of time sitting on hold for hours on end became such an issue that it was painfull to call back. Our warranty was nearing expiration and we were never able to use our computer at this point.

The problem remained. This time they instructed us that a cd rom would be sent to us and we would have to do a complete system restore. It arrived, we followed the instructions and it wiped out all of the information on the computer - even nessecary features like java script. The computer was rendered completely useless at this point and the problem persisted. It continued to shut off randomly after about five minutes use.

I paid top dollar for this computer, this is completely unacceptable.
