Onlinecareerpackage, com online business scam, hacking into a friend's email, impersonating him using all contacts to spread the lie.internet

Internet & Web

I received an email from a friend dated yesterday, 27th September saying the following, verbatim: " RE: RE: I DID IT!!!

Hey there

My optimismwas fading fast thought you would take interest in this now I make all the calls trust me on this http://portalbbbaovivo. 110mb.com/MichaelMitchell17.html see you later."

Curiously, I had been text messaging this friend in the afternoon and he did not mention it to me. Since it was advised by such trustworthy friend I started subscribing to it but an inner hunch made me stop before giving all my card details.

I gave my friend a call immediately and he confirmed to me that he had not send me that email.

This means they hacked into his email account to access his contacts and then, impersonating him they forwarded the scam to all or most of his contacts me included. Can they do the same to me?

I have a visa debit gave my whole number but not the expiry dates and the rest. I hope they cannot cheat me since I did not complete the payment proceedure. What do you say?
