Unwanted product charged and billed using intimidation Internet

Teamviewer is a software product from a company of the same name, used for communicating.

I visited the Teamviewer site after being contacted by a client using the product.in order to establish the link I had to download a connection software from the Teamviewer site. While there I thought I would test their product as I frequently do with software, and if satisfied, I purchase the product.

As always, I provided my particulars. Recently I received a threatening letter delivered to my front door, from Teamviewer that unless I paid them $14400, they would send the debt collectors.

I paid the amount because I don't have the resources to defend the matter in court. However, I paid a lot of money for something I have absolutely no need for. I was not aware that I had made a purchase until I received the damand letter.

I believe there is great risk in having anything to do with Teamviewer and I shall not deal with anyone using the product.
