For some reason Wikipedia has recently opted to allow advertisement links in their references section for the page NVR inc. Even though these are expressly prohibited for most other people by these guidelines from Wikipedia: Advertising or promotion of an individual, business, organization, group, or viewpoint unrelated to Wikipedia (such as commercial sites or
referral links)

Yet (as of this writing) the top five links in Wikipedia references proceed to inform readers why they should buy NVR products. This alteration on the site appears to be a widespread reputation repair initiated by NVR affiliates, as derogatory information is being buried throughout the www.NVR inc is being agressively protected, though it once had links to sites such as consumer complaints until recently.

I may be wrong, but I just can see anything as encyclopedic when including information on where, how, and why I should buy products by linking to obvious advertisements as references, and calling them informational.
