PC Outlet
First E Commerce Safety Hazard/Electrical Fire

Internet & Web

I bought a laptop about a month ago from PC Outlet and the power cord created a short and burned the carpet below the charger. Right after it happened, I went back to the store to see what they could do for me. Steven, the manager, heard what I had to say and mistakenly talked to one of his employees saying "Was anybody handing out these chargers last month? They weren't supposed to be given out." At this point, I'm very upset that this charger was not intended for my laptop. At which point, he offers me a new charger. I asked him if any damage had been done to my computer. Without turning it on, he tells me there is nothing wrong with it. I tell him that I want my money back and he says he can only give me store credit. Why would I want another one of their defective products? My house could have burned down. He says there is nothing wrong with his products. I tell him that I'll take my chances in court and he had the nerve to ask me for my receipt. Why would I hand over ANY evidence I have to a potential defendant? I've left a message with their GM and ee'll see what she hqs to say on Monday. The sad part is that I was willing to eat up some of the cost. Now, I want a full refund
Mind you, I will get it. Even if I have to file suit.
