Izone Technologies Philipines racket immediately posted an over-charge and sent bully message to keep me quiet

Half-awake I go online seeking information on how to update my Social Security information, and stumble into site that I complacently mistake for being an official gov site. It advises, what I thought, that there will be a service fee and asks for credit card info. I enter the info, thinking an opt-in page will follow, along with information detailing what I'd be paying for. (Doh!) My credit card is immediately charged $35, even though the posted "convenience fee" fee was only $20 (Fraud!)

The defrauding entity then sends me the following message: "We take credit card fraud very seriously. Anyone engaged in a fraudulent chargeback may be placed on a blacklist and prevented from making future online payments. This may also affect your cred it score. All legal efforts will be made to collect on any fraudulent chargebacks."

Ok, so fool me once. Later this day, out of principle, I visited my financial institution and filed a fraud claim and request for charge-back against this Philippines company that's calls itself SSN Card Replacement and Izone Technologies. Of course, the associated credit card of mine is now effectively lost, and is being dealt with accordingly.

My advice: Call it a hassle. Call it a lesson. Clean up the mess, right away, and don't do it again!
