Eyeglassboy ripped me off. He has my $800, I have no glasses

Eyeglass Boy at eyeglassboy.com and I had several conversations and e-mails regarding his cool, vintage glasses.in my e-mails, I was having a hard time getting the correct fit. He agreed to send me six pairs of eyeglasses with the understanding that he would refund if sent back within 7 days. I have delivery confirmations that the glasses were returned.

Every month he would say he was going to do the refund, but there was always some excuse. He lost the transactions numbers, couldn't find my e-mail address, then he started complaining about how much in service fees he would have to pay and how much time he had to spend re-posting the glasses to his website. Finally, he quit returning my phone calls and messages. He stole $800 from me and I have not even one pair of glasses to show for it. On top of which, I referred several of my friends to his site (before I got scammed).

I have contacted the FTC and BBB. He has an F rating on BBB site and five complaints have been filed against him. His site is still written up in many leading magazines because it is a very cool site. Too bad it is run by such a disreputable character. Beware of eyeglass boy.
