Ripped me of their $250 inspirion rebate claim

Sent in rebate form for $250 Inspirion rebate the day after I received computer (12/12/03). I tried to get a reply from rebate status.com on 12/30/03. They fianlly replied on 1/18/04 which was conveniently after the 30 day time frame had expired.
The reply stated to re-send information since they never received it. On 2/23/04 I received a mailer stating that I had sent in the rebate after the deadline.
Im mailer I was given a toll free customer service number. I called it and they referred me to another number. After pleading my case to the lady at the second number, I was re-directed to the first number. It went downhill in a hurry after that.
Hard to believe that such an established company can rip people off and get away with it. I had my doubts when I found out there was a deadline.
Dell has a fiar product line, but has lost a lot of customers from this gimmick offer.
Shame you guys for ripping off the very people who believed in you. Never again!!!
