Perry Preston of Prime Internet Retailing Inc and www.prime135.com contacted me to do freelance work formatting data at $20/hr. Throughout the project, he contacted me excessively (at least 3xs a day) at all hours of the day for "updates". He assured me I would get paid and if I did not complete any work, I would only need to log my hours and he'd pass it on to someone else. After 10 straight hours of working (on what seemed to be a last minute project because of the urgency of his constant phone calls) I sent him my work on the deadline he had given me. The next day he called saying he had completed the work and I would get paid for my hours the following week. I did not get paid the week that he promised and when I asked where and when I would get my check, he said "i will mail you a check when i get paid by the client.." I have never received payment for my work and have not heard from him since.
