I purchased a laptop and approximately 2 months later the computer started giving a "display driver stopped responding and recovered error" where the video I was watching would turn green with only audio playing in the background then the computer would start dropping memory. I called Toshiba numerous times and they tried to trouble shoot it over the phone which didn't work. Then I recalled and they said I would need to send it in. I sent it in and left the country on business when I returned I had received the computer, they had reseated display cable, reformatted the computer and ran tests. It seem to be working ok... Then 3 weeks later I received the same error again, numerous times, and called Toshiba again they asked me to resend it in which I thought was a horrible idea considering it got me nowhere the first time around but I did it anyway. Also I spoke to 2 case managers asking for the computer to be replaced and they said the limited warranty it had wouldn't allow for this. I don't think this is a warranty issue considering the computer has been having an issue since it was brand new. Anyways I received the laptop yesterday evening hoping it was fixed, read the paperwork, it said they replaced the system board and the heat sink also ran tests and it was supposebly "fixed" well today I am having the same error and same issues. The tech support on the phone is telling me I need to speak to ANOTHER case manager tomorrow. So I need to call them back. The company I purchased this from isn't willing to replace the product either. I have had this laptop for 6 mos but it has spent most of this time in the toshiba tech support depo.
