Ripoff money paid for tuition and monitoring of e-business, St3427.24 in total

Internet & Web

I was contacted by telephone by a Greg Warden who suggested that I may be suitable to qualify for their training course if I answered some questions and made a quick decision as to whether I wanted to proceed.

He then spoke to his superior, a Jeff Gragg who continued with the questioning and agreed that they would like to work with me and who then passed me to his financial director, Cason Kaye Frei who arranged the payment situation.

I was requested to send a cheque in the amount of US$5,480 as I could not pay by Visa credit card. Eventually I agreed to remit via Western Union and I told him that they were going to charge me US$300 to do this, whereupon he agreed to accept US$5,180 in full payment.

I contacted Western Union to arrange the payment which was done under their transaction number659481 on 24th October. I was asked by W U to establish Mr Frei's full name which I did and then advised him that the collection number was 3391091310 and he was to show his ID when he collected from the office of his choice.

I subsequently e-mailed him requesting acknowledgement of receipt which has so far not been forthcoming in spite of a reminder.

I commenced my mentoring with the assistance of a Mr Brian Ault of Vermotion who called me always promptly at the appointed times and we went through the process of setting up a website which h wanted done through his organisation at a company called Rackspace. To accomplish this I was obliged to cancel my existing arrangement with Oneandone (1 & 1 Internet Limited in the UK) which I did and took out a fresh contract with Rackspace in the USA.

After two further weeks of tuition, I was unable to access my website program and informed Brian Ault who told me on November 12th that their servers were being up-dated and should be good next week.

I had asked Brian Ault if I was registered with Vermotion why they wouldnot assist meand if BDG had arranged an agreement with Vermotion, why would they not assist me. He did not answer this specific question.

I sent another e-mail on 12th November to Brian Ault telling him that I had e-mailed Vermotion directly and they had responded that they had no agreement with BDG. I also asked him about the confirmation of receipt of my funds by Cason Frei and he said he was unable to deal with this and I should contact Frei direct.

This was the third e-mail I had sent asking for assistance, but I received nothing and on 13th November he e-mailed me saying he had sent an e-mail previously and asked if I had received it. I responded that I had received it but it appeared that our e-mails had crossed in the ether and I again asked when tuition could continue, but as he had told me the system would be running again next week I agreed to be patient until then.

On November 18th I sent a further e-mail to Brian Ault asking him what was going to happen and advising him that I had sytill not received any form of receipt or acknowledgment from Cason Frei for my money.

On November 19th Brian Ault advised me thathe had managed to access my website through Vermotion so I went to the site and attempted to do some more work, but needed assistance.

Nothing happened until 23rd November when I was advised by Vermotion that they had problems with BDG and Cason Frei was iognoring their calls and correspondence and telling him that since September they had been receiving complaints from people that he and his sales team, i.E. Greg Warden and Jeff Gragg, had been misrepresentingthe products and services they offer. Also that there were discrepancies between sales reported to their company and the actual amounts charged to Clients' credit cards.

I attempted to call BDG yesterday, 25th November, and spoke to their telephone operator, Audrey Richmond, who agreed that she had put an e-mail I had previously sent on Cason Frei's deks and would ask him to return my call. She asked whether I wanted a refund and as I would have preferred to resolve the matter amicably I said no, but as I received no return call by late in the evening, I called her again and said I wanted my money refunded. A further attempt at calling met the answering service only.

Subsequent to this chain of events I am now faced with returning to my previous company, Oneandone, to reinstate the previous position with them, which will incur added expense. My 'days of grace' with my pevious contract ran out on November 21st. Had I been advised of the situation prior to this date I would have been able to reinstate my contract. Vermotion knew in September, before I had even commenced with them, and Brian Ault knew the situation but was not correct in telling me that their server would be in operation in a couple of weeks.

I had also sent an e-mail to Brian Ault on 25th November, but he had cancelled his previous e-mail address and it did not go through.

In consequence I have lost time and money through the fraudulent transaction perpetrated by Casdon Kaye Frei and his henchmen, Greg Warden and Jeff Gragg. I have not had sifficient time to prepare a full schedule of my costs, not have I yet the material available to do so, but this will be the subject of further deliberation in due course.

I consider that I have been the subject of a prima facie fraud scam as, had I been allowed to pay by credit card I would have had some redress. Now my only course is through your offices and I trust I will receive the assistance I require.
