Worst customer service ever. - dsl

I have my DSL through AT&T. A few weeks ago, it stopped working. After innumerable calls, I finally got through to the service center, which, by the way, is in INDIA. After asking me every irrelevant question in the book, they finally agreed to send over a technician. He was actually very helpful, and fixed the problem in the line. To do so he had to climb the telephone pole a block away. Then the problem happened again. Exact same problem, took the usual hour to get through to customer service in India, where the rep claimed to have magically fixed the line from his location. Of course, he couldn't and didn't. I tried contacting AT&T through their website, only to receive a message saying that I don't have service with them! The only phone numbers listed are the ones in India, and there is no address to write or email them. Don't know how to proceed at this point. AT&T has to have THE WORST customer service of ANY company that I have EVER dealt with in my ENTIRE LIFE!!!
