Skoreit.com is an internet penny auction site that requires users to buy bids to bid on products. The products are offered at greatly reduced prices. But, it has become completely obvious that SKOREIT has shills that continually bid on products to drive up prices and force users to buy more bids. Many of the items end up being won buy shills. For example... As recent "auction" on 9/27 of an Apple iPad went for approx. $115. One particular bidder placed over 700 bids... Which, including the cost of the item plus the shipping charges, would have totaled MORE than the value of the item. A completely non-sensical action for a "real" bidder. Because so many complaints have been logged on blogs, I'm sure the company is letting some items go through at lower prices to give the appearance of legitmacy. For example, the same item, on 9/28 am, went for less than $5.00!
Another example of shilling is a bidder by the name of "apolloplaque". This bidder repeatedly bids on "bid packs". The bidder recently expended in excess of 200 bids... To win a pack of 240 bids! Three times! No "real bidder" would do that. What's the point? Use up all your bids to win the same amount of bids? Plus, you have to pay for the costs of the bid package! By having shills bid and win products, they repeatedly drive up the price and the number of bids... Which is the whole scam in a nutshell. They're not just making money on the items they sell... in fact they lose money on every item... But they make obscene profits selling the bid packages. For example, the aforementioned iPad sold for $115.00... Which means there were 11,500 bids... Which cost from $. 75-$. 50 apiece! Do the math! That means they sold the iPad for at over $5000... More likely $7500!! This site is being advertised on ESPN and is sucking in a lot of unsuspecting people. It need to be shut down or at least policed and forced to eliminate shills and ripping people off.
