Scam - Stolen Credit Card from over the internet Internet

I was contacted by my Visa company to verify a suspicious activity - found out JP Media Ventures tried to charge $299.99 to my Visa. My Visa company now has this under fraud investigation and cancelled my card to reissue a new one. Not sure how this fake company got my information but I'm sure it was from purchases done via the internet.
