BEWARE: Scam Card Billing Affiliated with Classmates.com!

Internet & Web

Classmates.com members beware!!! Like LynleeB1 reported here on April 9th, my debit card was getting erroneously billed by a company called Privacy Matters, 123. I had never heard of them, so called the number to find out what I was getting billed for. They immediately refunded my money for each month, but danced a little bit around who they were and how they came to bill me. With more direct questioning, they answered that they had gotten all my information from CLASSMATES.com and were approved to bill me on a monthly basis for some credit-reporting information.

WHAT?!!! I have visted classmates.com maybe 3 times in the past 6 months. And I have never ever ever ever EVER ordered anything from their site.

THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE SCAM!!! Besides LynleeB1 below, and me, how many other people are getting ripped off like this? I am seeking a class-action attorney. Please, if anybody has a suit pending, or wants to create one, please let me know. I am in!!!

Check your debit card / credit card statement to see if you are getting billed by Privacy Matters 123. If so, it most likely came from classmates. I feel that this is a matter for the FBI and a class action suit.
