Attention Ebay Sellers! Haffa will ask to buy product with his fake escrow service Frankfurt Am

Thanks to this site our company did not lose $26,000!

I received an email (see below) wanting to buy some of my products not through the auction or buy it now and he only wanted to use his escrow service and bypass the ebay and paypal process, which we have a strict policy that this is for our protection and yours that we use these services.

He directed me to an escrow service that he trusts, I actually signed up for it to see the process and it did not have any real security questions to verify if I was a real business or not. Just enter you name and email and you are done - real safe!

Below is a copy of another complaint that sums up what they found about this guy I do not have the time or resources to find out this information.

"I looked deeper into him, and discovered that he is registered with Ebay as a Canadian user even though he told me he was from Germany (possibly a highjacked account), looking at his email message headers, they conflicted with his email address. His email address is haffa283@yahoo.De, headers have a liberian prefix.

I looked at the escrow company website he was trying to push on me and in the contact info, it shows the Manager of the company. The managers name is the same name of the person trying to get me to use the escrow service. I WOULD have lost over $15,000 to this person as the escrow service he wanted to use was his own scam escrow service.

I want to warn others of him. The domain was purchased only last month." end of other users complaint post.

For the method of payment i use an escrow service. It is the only way for me. I have done many deals through them and I trust only an escrow service.
One last thing: I do not make deals over the phone. I just ensure myself in case of fraud i can use the mails for evidence.

That is it, I just did a search, found this site and saw that I was about to be dupped into the same thing as this other person posted about. Beware of anyone who will not use well known secure forms of payment

By the way, I offered to use the official ebay escrow service at www.escrow.com and he has not replied, doubt he ever will. It is not longer buyer beware, it is seller beware
