Com, Escrow-ic Powerbook G4 scam in conjunction with sellers on Amazon.com (Egghead.com) Thank God I found this site and prevented a loss of 1600 dollars Lisbon

I was recently trying to buy a 17inch powerbook G4 from egghead.com which is powered by amazon.com. I tried several times to purchase the computer from some sellers. Amazon cancelled the transactions because apparently these sellers were not accepting amazon payments.

One seller in particular sent me an email suggesting that I use an escrow service he had used and trusted called escrow-sd. His email is buzgur@aol.com and he stated that his name was Boris. I registered with escrow-sd but literally hours before I was going to complete the transaction, I decided to do a search on google for this escrow company and came across consumer complaints.com.

I saw reports of escrow fraud for powerbooks on amazon and noticed that the address of the escrow site was www.escrow-ic.com. Only two letters different then the site I was using. I checked on the address of escrow-sd and found out that it is a restaurant in lisbon called Sua Exclencia.

Thank God I found this site and prevented a loss of 1600 dollars. Anyone being sucked in by the cheap powerbook scam beware! Escrow-sd is a sham and you will lose your money!
