I sent in scrap gold and gemstones for a friend. The Gold Buyer called and said they received my package by certified mail. The gold would be melted down and the check sent the next day.
Took over a week to get the check. When I presented the $1,453.00 check at Wells Fargo Bank, I was told there was not enough money in the account to cash it.
Wells Fargo said it was an active account, but just not much money in it.
I have contacted the police and am in the process of doing a news story on people who get ripped off mailing in scrap gold.
