Following complaint was filed with 1-800-FLOWERS.com
My wife made purchase in Sept. 2003 at www.1-800-flowers.com. Next thing you know that she saw a strange charge on her checking account from a WLI* TRAVELVALUES.com (800-890-4892). She had never signed up for any such company OR had even heard of this thing so she contacted her bank and I did some searching on the web by simply entering 800-890-4892 on www.google.com and Yahoo.com.
Next thing we know that there are literally hundreds of people being fleeced out their bank accounts every month because they simply made a BIG mistake of purchasing flowers from 1-800-flowers.com. Our research indicates that TRAVELVALUES.com has been charging people left and right. We called the 800-890-4892 that belongs to TRAVELVALUES and were told that they received her CC number, name, address, etc from 1-800-flowers.com.
She is very disappointed AND extremely angry and we both vow not to make another purchase from 1-800-flowers.com. If no action is taken of my complaint, I will not only call the attorney general of State of New York but also publish opinion on the web letting others know about our extreme disappointment of doing business with 1-800-flowers.com as well as due to severe breach of privacy by not honoring your own promise of protecting our privacy as promised at: http://www.1800flowers.com/security/index.Asp
