I wonder how many are being scammed by the at&t 3rd degree tech at the cost of $107. Oo plus
scenario: i could not access the internet on my home computer; called at&t and was told by one of their tech that my moduim was down. Ok i got a new modium, which at&t sent (it was due me)
called at&t tech support to walk me the installing, got it hooked up and i still could not access internet. Here comes the fun part: (

Was transfered to the super duper 3rd degree tech support at the cost of $107.00... Did i mentioned i was desperate... (no access to internet for almost two weeks)

Here comes the scam:

Sales pitch, the young lady who spoke so fast that she almost trip over her tongue:) in the sales script i was able to hear the word guarantee (no guarantee) i question this and was told "verbatium" not to worry because these were 3rd degree tech. Lol, lol.

The tech starting by telling me that it was proably my computer, before he even knew the problem.

Transpired, he immediately without letting me finish the explaination said

To me "can i talk", with a annoyed tone of voice. So i immediately stopped, he than proceeded to tell me why he (3rd degree tech) could not solve my problem, he said i that the problem was i needed a new e card, (which i already had) or cables when i asked him which cable he got annoyed, i even apologized for asking him the question. The long and short of the drama.
Got off the phone and i called my computer guy, who in less than fifteen minutes had me up and running. I want my money back not a credit, oh by the way they will not bill you, you must pay via credit card before you could access the 3rd degree tech. Is at&t so desperate that they have to scam their customers, i am so fed-up with at&t lack of competency.

I also do not appreciate being talk down to. I may be 71 year young but i can match my wits with anyone. I have dealt with the public for over 50 years i can reconized when someone is trying to b&s& their way.

Shame on you att&t shame on you.
If their is anyone that can offer a better service i am open for suggestions
anything has to be better than this.
