SBC Dsl total lack of customer service

I had trouble with my dsl line during the last week of August. The Dsl line box showed that the line light was not on, indicating a lack of service.

I tried contacting them on Monday and Tuesday regarding this problem. I kept getting recordings. Their automated message system does not seem to have an easy way to get to a real person. I did manage to get to the area where people should be there to answer, instead I got a recording stating that they were to busy to take my call.

I tried using an SBC operator, she was unable to get me to a real person as well. I have to assume this as what actually happened after several minutes was I was disconnected.

I was able to get thru to a real person on Wednesday, when My line was once again working. I was told that they can only give credits out when they can actually diagnose a problem.

This is not possible when they can't be bothered to take a phone call. It seems that the blaster worm was giving people problems at the same time. Several of my friends, also using OS 95 and 98 had also not been able to connect. (the worm should not be a problem with these os)

This is not the first problem I have had with SBC Yahoo. It took over two months for them to get my web address passwords and id's to me.
