Video Computer Store filed for bankruptcy before sending me rebates of $285

On August 20 I purchased a computer from Video Computer Store of Pipersville, Pa. Part of the contract provided for $285 in mail-in rebates. On 11-23-00, I forwarded the rebate forms to VCS.in May I tried to find out what happened to the rebates only to find that VCS has filed for bankruptcy.
Is there anything I can do to recover the rebate amounts?
