Scam mentoring service ripoff

I wanted to start an eBay business and was looking for something to get me off the ground. I was on the Skip Mcgrath website, and I read something about the fact that he personally coached the mentors at Bright Builders, so I decided to give it a try.

Had to max out my credit card to fork over $2600 initially, but was promised great things. Basically was told my hand would be held from start to finish with a successful ebiz. Didn't realize at the time that it didn't end at $2600. There were several monthly fees associated with running your biz through them.

Also, the product list that I was supposed to pick from to sell on my new website was full of absolute junk. All my "mentor" did was walk me through their website building tutorial and tell me things that I already knew like "You're going to have to figure out what you want to sell". No sh*t sherlock! Everything I asked that was out of his realm of expertise, aka the tutorial, he'd say "That's something you're going to have to find out." I didn't pay $2600 so that I could get to talk to Captain Obvious!

After the second coaching session, even though I had 10 more left, I never rescheduled. I tried to get a refund but knew my efforts were futile.

I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I also wouldn't trust anything on Skip McGrath's website. Do yourself a HUGE favor, if you want to start your own online business, look on the eBay forums, which cost nothing to browse, or find info some other no-cost way. From what I've read since my experience, all consulting/mentoring services are scams. You will never get what you pay for.
