Fantasticbid.com
Rip Off - Uses 'bots' often

Internet & Web

I have used fantasticbid.com quite a few times in the past with success. However, the only items I have had success winning are intangible items (extra bids). The acutal physical goods I have won have taken almost a month to be received... And I have only won a couple of physical items after spending hundreds of dollars on bids. Still worth the money for what I won, but not the 90% savings advertised.

The website is obviously a huge fan of 'bots'.in case you do not know what bots are, they are automatic bidders set up by the auction site itself. They can have an unlimited supply of bids and can be used to 'suck up' your bids AND win the merchandise so the site takes your money and never has to ship the item. Don't take my word for it? Watch about 3 auctions out of the day.in all of them, there will be a 'person' that uses hundreds of bids on several auctions on any given day. If this were a real person, they would cut their loss at some point. There is a hit counter website that shows they only receive about 12 unique visitors per day. There are well over that amount on the site at any time - further demonstrating these are 'created' personalities by the website. I have utilized that site several times a week and notice new names all the time. Newbies will not dump 300-400 bids on an item, especially for a site they have never used. These are definietly created by the site to beat you.

Also, if you do win additional bids, the company is very slow to credit them to you. The 50 free bid promotion was ended abruptly and all verbiage was removed from the website with no warning. The site administrators also have very poor communication. You can email them several times and not receive a response. Since they use Click and Buy for purchases, you can't even file a dispute - you are just stuck with the loss.

Save your money. There are more reputable sites out there. I won't tell you because I have way too much luck on them! Happy bidding!
