Hp warranty is a fraud buyers beware

I purchased an extendend warranty though HP after purchasing a laptop. The salesman told me that since I purchaced the "top of the line" laptop that I was eligable for this special type of warranty. He stated that if ANY defect occured at all that I would recieve a new laptop. A "no repair warranty". He stated that when they recived conformation of the laptop being sent back, that I would recieve my NEW, latest model, laptop in three days. He also stated that if in any accidental situations the same would be true.

After 20 minutes of making sure of the type of warranty I was purchasing. After canceling a Best Buy extended warranty, I decided to purchase. 350.00 for extended additional 2 year warranty. 3 years total. Two years later my screen went black. My battery was failing since 1 month after purchase, but it was rarely unpluged so It didn't bother me. I figured if something else went wrong then I could just get a new laptop.

I called to make a claim and the representative said that I only had a repair warranty and I would have to send it in. Of course I was confident that there was a mistake. I asked to talk to a supervisor who was very rude and fast talking in broken english. Uppset by this time I ask to talk to someone higher ranking. I was sent to a complaint department. This person "Tommy" I could understand his english. He gave me the run around "this doesn't look like a typical warranty", "these serial and product numbers aren't like numbers I've seen before", He tried to refund part of my warranty purchase price as a cop out.

Finally I sent the laptop in and they have had it for weeks. Order pending and unknown return date. I try to contact "Tommy" and leve messages but just can't get ahold of him. Hewlett packard are criminals and legal action should be taken!!! Call yor local media!!! Class action suits
