Datasouce 411 called my business saying I owed them money for internet advertising New York

A representative from the company called my business saying I owed them money for some advertising that I had done with them. She said it was part of a three year agreement I had authorized. I didn't remember ever placing any orders with them so I told her that and she said she had to send out the invoice because it had to be paid immediately. They tried different Reps using the same lines over several months. They insisted I let them record record a verification of my address. They didn't like my first recording because I said I didn't ok any listings with them. I had to do it again but gave them my mailing not my physical address.in the end, I refused to pay the $800.00 plus interest and pointed out that the so called proof they sent me reflected the mailing not the actual address of my business. It had a google map of it, quite funny actually. They got me to verify an incorrect address and use it against me. I did however settle and payed $199.00 to stop the bull. That was in Nov 08 and I just received a letter saying they were waiting for final invoice and letter of closure and that they will give me 10 days for the check to clear (ya right!). Having just gotten off the phone with these idiots I got a host of excuses, no promise of stopping the harassment, just one guy saying my $199.00 was received. Wish now I didn't pay it! These guys are clever.
